Join Eastern Winds Music as we present an evening full of spirituals.
Featuring acclaimed Lunenburg County Favorite, PAT WATSON.
Black spirituals, or gospel spirituals are a unique and special type of work and folk songs that described both the extreme hardship of the African Americans who were enslaved from the 17th to 19th centuries, as well as biblical stories that gave them hope and solace.
The members of Mirth each share their own deep rooted relationship with nature, a source of spiritual strength, and offer their music as a gift to both heal nature and inspire the protection of it. Mirth’s music spans many styles, and topics, using originals and covers. Three unique voices join to create a lush sound of sophisticated and layered harmonies.
We are delighted to present an evening of beautiful singing and choral music by Peter Ernst and The Sibtet.
Peter Ernst ~ Known for his full, warm baritone voice, Peter Ernst is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and composer from Lunenburg, NS.
A former member of beloved Nova Scotian a cappella groups, The Ernst Family, The Sibtet, and OneBlood, Peter has a long and varied history as a local, national, and international performer. Notable appearances include semi-finals in Season 1 of Canada’s Got Talent.
The Sibtet ~ An a capella group of the highest caliber, The Sibtet performs an eclectic range of styles and genres, from early Renaissance through to modern day classics.
The Sibtet are former members of the The Ernst Family Singers, popular from 2000-2009 in Canadian choral circles. Reuniting for the first time since 2009, The Sibtet are delighted to once again share favorite a cappella highlights to audiences throughout Nova Scotia.
